※海外への返送につきましては、別途返送料をご負担いただきます。

 

〇応募規約

応募作品は応募者本人が制作した未発表のオリジナル作品に限ります。

応募内容に虚偽が判明した場合は応募を無効とする場合があります。

審査結果に関するお問い合わせにはお答えできません。

応募作品・作品写真・作品タイトル・応募者氏名・居住地域等は、当協会ホームページ、SNS、印刷物、会報誌、報道機関等で紹介させていただく場合があります。

応募料のお支払い後、お客様都合によるキャンセル・返金はできません。

個人情報はコンテスト運営および関連するご案内のために利用いたします。

World Quilt Award 2026 – Call for Entries

Entry Period

July 1 (Wed) – August 25 (Tue), 2026

Entries must arrive at the Japan Quilt Association by August 25, 2026 (JST).

How to Apply

Please download the official application form, complete all required information, and submit your entry.

First Round (Photo Judging)

Submit your entry by mail or email.

Required Documents

  • Completed Application Form
  • One overall photograph of your quilt
    (2L print size or high-resolution JPEG)
  • One close-up/detail photograph
    (2L print size or high-resolution JPEG)

Final Round (Actual Quilt Judging)

Only quilts selected in the First Round will proceed to the Final Round.

Applicants who pass the First Round will receive detailed instructions for submitting their actual quilt.

Quilt Requirements

  • Original, unpublished work only
  • Rectangular or square quilts only
  • Categories 1–4:
    130 cm – 250 cm
  • Student Category:
    50 cm – 250 cm
  • Three-layer quilt (top, batting, backing) with quilting completed
  • Beads and embellishments must be securely attached
  • Kit quilts are not accepted
  • Works that infringe copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights are not eligible

Payment Methods

Applicants who become members of the Japan Quilt Association at the time of entry will receive the member rate, making the First Round entry free of charge.

Final Round (Actual Quilt Judging)

Only applicants who pass the First Round may enter the Final Round.

Exhibition

All quilts submitted for the Final Round will be exhibited at the

World Quilt Festival 2026

held in Yokohama, Japan.

Shipping

  • The First Round is judged from photographs only.
  • Shipping costs for sending quilts to the Final Round are the responsibility of the applicant.
  • Quilts will be returned by cash on delivery (COD) within Japan.

⚠️ IMPORTANT FOR INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS

Applicants outside Japan are responsible for all return shipping costs. Additional return shipping fees will be charged before the quilt is returned.

Terms & Conditions

  • Entries must be original and unpublished works created by the applicant.
  • False information may result in disqualification.
  • The judges' decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
  • The Japan Quilt Association may use photographs of submitted works, titles, artists' names, and countries/regions of residence for exhibitions, publications, websites, social media, and promotional materials.
  • Entry fees are non-refundable after payment has been completed.
  • Personal information will be used solely for the administration of the competition and related communications.
